Staff Development
We continue to work with a range of Higher
Education Institutions to support and develop teachers
of the future; this allows our staff to keep in touch
with best practice elsewhere and to develop their
own practice through mentoring.
Staff development days have focused on using ICT, in particular
Assimilate, have developed us in our role as leaders and
have raised our awareness of behaviour for learning.
We have benefited from support from Creative Partnerships
in working alongside students and staff- specifically in
Performing and Creative Arts and PSHE, but with impact
throughout the college.
Individuals, pairs and groups of staff have also received
targeted training relating to new courses, updating subject
knowledge, or activities designed to inspire new ways of
teaching and learning.
All of the above form part of our College and Faculty
Improvement Planning and of our Performance Management
process so we can match staff development to the present
and future needs of the college.
